Update 86: New Arsenal

CAPTAIN, WE HAVE NEW WEAPONS TO TRY, NOW'S THE TIME TO PLAY!

Weapons
  • 2 new weapons, the Rifle and the Knife OUR FIRST MELEE WEAPON.



Space
  • New floating city
  • Pems now have "ships" and can attack you
  • New type of pirate fleet
  • The "Pirate Killer" buff (pirates flee seeing you) now triggers after 5 victories against pirates
  • Debuffs can now stack in multiplayer (over-encumbered)
  • Audio warning if your backpack is full
  • The space map now showcases mining and recycling points
  • NPC fleets are now affected by the overall level of the area they are in (growth of the fleet)
  • Pressing C now opens the synthesis menu


Quests
  • Completed quests will now flash to showcase they are complete and can be redeemed
  • Stronghold (Planets, stations...) will now show if a quest is available before landing

Sound effects

  • New fleet battles sound effects
  • New landing sound effects
  • New sound effects for unlocks and proficiency level upgrades
  • New enemies shooting/exploding sound effects (Famas soldiers, simian units, almost all pems, most pirates, bipedal mech and tanks)
  • New sound effects for leveling, mining, learning a skill, questing and recycling
  • New sound effect for walking on water/wet ground


Battlefields
  • Enemy ships will now flee after the army is defeated (prevents from farming weapon proficiency on space ships that can be bullet sponges with a weak weapon)
  • New victory screen


Multiplayer
  • Attacking NPCs will now trigger a vote
  • At the moment only the host can trigger certain events, these will trigger a prompt telling non-host players to wait for the host


The rest
  • More daily quests are available
  • Slight changes to the EXP bar
  • The red circle will now be more visible when close to the edges
